Airport and Aircraft Rescue Fire Fighting

The safety of the passengers take precedence over all other operations. Fire control is one of the essential conditions to ensure such survival. The objectives of the airport fire department should be to respond to any aircraft emergency as quickly and as effectively as possible and to employ rescue and fire-fighting techniques efficiently. These objectives can be accomplished when well trained personnel work as a team and apply the standard operating procedures presented.  Alpha-1 Technical Training and Consulting Services is fully aware of this and as a training institute that adheres to NFPA standards, we understand that extensive training is necessary to ensure Safety in the field of aviation.

Evacuation is necessary and so is knowledge in hazardous materials in Aircraft Emergency Response. Evacuation can be crucial as some aircraft personnel become incapacitated during emergency. Thus, Aircraft Rescue Fire Fighting should prepare themselves with the following:

  1. Identify the priorities of openings to be used to gain entry into aircraft.
  2. Select the necessary tools and equipments to gain entry into aircraft in a given scenario.
  3. Demonstrate opening normal entry and emergency exit points while wearing protective clothing.
  4. Identify potential locations for cut-in entry using reference materials, airport markings, or general guidelines for given aircraft.
  5. Identify the hazards associated with the cut-in entry.
  6. Identify the procedures followed during emergency situations by crews of air carriers operating at the local airport.
  7. Identify the procedures to be used to protect evacuation points.
