Emergency Medical Response

Emergency Medical Responders are the first line of medical professionals ready to provide immediate care for critical patients inorder to save their lives. The medical responder’s ability to quickly respond during a medical emergency is very crucial. The first on the scene is the person who arrives before the advent of healthcare professionals, performs basic life saving techniques to the victim with minimal set of equipments or the absence of it. At times, simple hand maneuvers are enough.

Some of the immediate responders on the scene are rescue services, firemen, policemen, flight attendants, and other individuals who do not have a medical education but have practical skills in providing immediate care during emergencies are faster than medics.

The key to their prompt and high-quality response is that they received proper first aid training including cardiopulmonary resuscitation, immobilization, defibrillation, bleeding, recognition of heart attack, stroke, hypoglycemia, anaphylactic reaction, fracture care, and burns.
